Dr. Hanna Stakheyeva is a competition lawyer and academic with over 15 years of experience spanning Türkiye, the EU, and Ukraine. Hanna combines a cosmopolitan outlook with a proactive, can-do approach and deep expertise in cross-border competition law issues. Currently based in Istanbul, she serves as a Knowledge Counsel at ACTECON, where she shapes and drives the firm’s knowledge strategy by managing legal content, publications, training programs, conferences, and innovative knowledge-sharing initiatives.

Hanna’s professional journey includes roles in Istanbul, Brussels (King & Wood Mallesons), and Kyiv (Baker & McKenzie), as well as lecturing at Boğaziçi University and ELSA Summer School.

Hanna holds degrees from Kyiv National Taras Shevchenko University and the University of Amsterdam, alongside an International Baccalaureate diploma from UWC Atlantic. Admitted to the Bar of Ukraine. She has contributed to numerous international conferences and publications, including a co-authored book Merger Control in the EU and Turkey: A Comparative Guide (Kluwer).

Her passion lies in advancing international collaboration, whether through partnerships with international organizations and research centers, to drive impactful change in the field of competition law.
