Dr. Eda Şahin-Şengül

Dr. Eda Sahin-Sengul is a Senior Lecturer in Law at Bath Spa University, where she teaches core modules such as English Legal System, EU Law, and Competition Law for LLB students, as well as Legal Systems, Research, and Skills for postgraduate students. With a distinguished academic career spanning the UK and Turkey, she has developed an international reputation for her contributions to competition law and policy.  

She completed her PhD in Law at Queen Mary University of London in 2016, where her research focused on consumer collective redress in EU competition cases. She also holds an LLM in International Competition Law and Policy from the University of East Anglia and undergraduate degrees in Law and Business from Istanbul University. Her scholarly work is widely recognized, with publications in prestigious journals such as the European Business Organization Law Review, the Journal of Consumer Policy, the European Competition Journal and Computer Law & Security Review. She is also the author of the monograph Collective Redress and EU Competition Law (Routledge, 2019) and the forthcoming co-edited book Consumer ADR in Emerging Economies (Routledge, 2025). 

She continues to actively engage with international research and practice networks, serving as a referee for journals, book proposals, and research grants.
