Pamela Sittenfeld
Pamela Sittenfeld is a Senior Advisor to the Minister of Foreign Trade of Costa Rica. She was a special counsel for the Central American Law firm BLP. For nine years she was the Head of the Technical Unit of the Commission for the Promotion of Competition. She also was a Board Member of the National Supervisory Council of the Financial System and the Utilities Regulator (ARESEP). She has worked as a consultant advising competition authorities in Costa Rica and other countries in Latin America, as well as international organizations such as the World Bank, the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD), the Inter-American Development Bank, and the United Nations Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean. She is a Competition Law Professor at Lead University in Costa Rica. Pamela obtained her Law degree from Universidad de Costa Rica in 1996. In 1999, she earned a master’s degree, with distinction as a Chevening Scholar, in Regulation, Competition and Public Services Regulation from the London School of Economics and Political Science.
